June 2018

I visit an orthopedic surgeon.  I asked if these my complaints below, can be fixed

  1. I am walking on the outside of my right foot

  2. Realign my big toe closer to my foot

I was told emphatically, yes.  These two complaints can be fixed.

Dec 2018, I have foot surgery to correct these issues.  Without too much story, issue 2 was corrected a little bit.  Issue 1 was not addressed at all.

Here is a picture of my right foot after the Dec 2018 surgery.

After seeing these post-surgical x-rays, my opinion was that what causes me to walk on the side of my foot is that I lack a "ball' on my right foot because the 1st metatarsal was moved too far to the right, in the initial bunionectomy surgery.

My question is - can these issues be corrected and to what extent?
